Dr. Angel holds a Doctorate in Acupuncture, further enriching her knowledge in Eastern medicine and complementing her extensive background in healthcare. She earned her MD degree as a Physician and Surgeon in Colombia, South America, in 1997, and her unwavering passion has always been to provide holistic care for her patients.

During her practice in Colombia, she treated a wide range of conditions using Western medicine. However, her commitment to comprehensive patient care led her to explore treatments beyond allopathic medicine. This curiosity led her to study Traditional Chinese Medicine, one of the oldest medical systems in the world.

Through her studies in Eastern medicine, Dr. Angel discovered the remarkable benefits that Traditional Chinese Medicine offers patients, particularly in the treatment of many chronic and complex health conditions. Her education at the National University of Health Sciences exposed her to cases where Eastern and Western medicine can be integrated to achieve the best treatment outcomes.

As part of her clinical training, she had the opportunity to intern at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, where she gained hands-on experience using acupuncture for pain management and other conditions. Dr. Angel graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors, reflecting her commitment to excellence in healthcare.

Today, Dr. Angel collaborates closely with Western physicians who refer patients seeking integrative care. She is an Illinois Board-Certified Licensed Acupuncturist, holds a Doctorate in Acupuncture, a Diploma in Oriental Medicine, and is Board-Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She also holds an ECFMG certificate, demonstrating her eligibility to participate in U.S. residency and fellowship programs accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
